bass bummer

This Labor day weekend isn't over yet, but it's been rainy and a bit gloomy. One of J's favorite parts of living in this area is Daddy's Junky Music stores. He likes to reminisce about buying his first guitar there and frequently checks their website for used gear that he might just need to get in his hands. Turns out he found the perfect Carvin bass online yesterday, but it was way up in Massachusetts. So, we didn't just jet out there, but instead planned a trip up there for today (along with a visit to J's Nana). When we arrived in the rain right when the store opened, it was no longer available. The bass was considered stolen because a wife that was seperated from her husband sold them to the shop without his permission! stink. Then we decided to swing by Ikea on the way home, and the exit was literally blocked off by police cars. Then when we tried to get off at the next exit, traffic was backed up for miles. I think it was more serious than just a crowded Ikea, but a bummer nonetheless... I'm hoping for better weather tomorrow.
